Our Space is your Space

We opened Allure, in 2003 with just three employees, in a small building on Union Street in Traverse City's Old Town district. As our business grew, we had to move to larger quarters - but we didn't go far. Our current salon is right next door to the first one, but we now have twice as much room. We worked with some of the most creative interior designers in the area to renovate our new space, emphasizing ergonomic, esthetically pleasing design and environmentally friendly materials. The result, wrapped in hues of dark brown, blue, white and Aveda grass green, is at once beautiful and practical, warm and cool, soothing and stimulating, open and private - an environment in which our clients feel comfortable and free to be themselves.

Our credentials include over 20 years experience in both hairstyling (Shelly) and hospitality (Bob), but our real capital is our passion for what we do. We look forward to going to work every day in anticipation of all the interesting people we will meet and have the privilege to serve. In fact, that can be said of our entire staff! It doesn't matter whether you come in just for a trim or for a full-service spa package - we are always happy to see you and want to do the best we can for you.

In addition to being fun, friendly and attentive to your needs, our hairstylists, estheticians and nail technicians are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of their profession and keeping up with the latest trends and technology through continuing training and education. Whether your personal style is cutting-edge or classic, you'll be in caring, capable hands with them.
